Railroad Corporation 2, developed by Corbie Games and distributed by Iceberg Interactive, is a realistic strategy-based train tycoon simulator.
According to statistics, the average reader will only read the first few paragraphs of a review before moving on to the conclusion. So, in my opinion, here is your word of the day: OVERWHELMING.
It’s Train Tycoon!
Whether you chose the story mode or the sandbox option, you’ll quickly discover Railroad Corporation 2’s extensive variety of mechanics.
On the surface, it appears to be just another rail tycoon game, with a bunch of buildings, tracks, and trains moving items around.
However, issues will eventually slam you in the head. Throughout the game, you will be responsible for handling even the smallest details of your journeys, such as engine speed, schedule, and operational costs. And, honestly, I adore it!
My preferences.
I’m not one to go hunting for tycoons or simulators, but I enjoy a good one. I would not hesitate to devote a few dozen hours, days, or even weeks to a game. I’m not going to lie: I have an unbelievable number of hours of satisfaction.
I recall how I became addicted to Aquarist a long time ago. (I wrote an article and everything about my emotions).
But I digress.
I had a great time playing Railroad Corporation 2 for the first few days. However, as I went on, I began to feel a bit lost. Don’t get me wrong: I actually like the game and found it intriguing from the start.
However, after the initial burst of enthusiasm, I found that my satisfaction began to fade. What began as an exciting experience quickly turned into a time-consuming micromanagement grind.
Still a functional and well-known game, but not my cup of tea.
ANALOGY MOMENT.
Consider a boat: it’s a fantastic vessel with a powerful engine, comfortable seats, and stunning décor. You enjoy this boat and want to spend some time on it.
However, after a while of smooth sailing, you notice something off-putting, anything that warrants a second guess or another glance. A dawning realization that you do not like where this boat is going.
At this point, you don’t care about the level of comfort or the number of cup holders. Perhaps a wonderful aquatic glimpse now and again will give you a rush and enthusiasm, but it’s all for naught.
All aboard!!!
Railroad Corporation 2 is a well-made simulation that immerses players in the rich world of rail administration. If you appreciate dealing with logistics issues and the intricacies of train operations, this game has a lot of complexity and strategy.
While beginning out is wonderful, it may quickly become a chore as the excitement fades due to the strain of ongoing management.
Overall, Railroad Corporation 2 is an excellent pick for followers of the tycoon genre, with exceptional attention to detail. It’s a game that rewards those who are patient and dedicated to learning its systems. While it isn’t my favourite, I can appreciate the effort and imagination that went into it.
If you’re seeking for a challenging tycoon experience, this game could be just the thing. Just be prepared for the challenges that come with it. Enjoy your voyage through the world of trains!
